- Sources of funds must be approved by the Board of Trustees
- Members of the Board will play a central role in supporting and participating in the fundraising efforts of the AHRF
- The AHRF will not accept support from sources that:
- Contradict its mission
- Compromise its reputation
- Influence the freedom and independence of the AHRF's program decisions
- The AHRF’s mission is to expand available resources to support human rights in the Arab region. It therefore avoids competing for existing funds and attempts to attract new funds to the field of human rights, particularly from within the Arab region
- The AHRF is fully transparent regarding the sources of its assets and its work. At the same time, it will not necessarily reveal the source of one or several donations upon the request of donors, although these sources must be known to the AHRF and must meet the organization’s criteria before they are accepted and publicized as ‘anonymous’
- The AHRF pursues a variety of fundraising strategies including institutional, individual, Arab, non-Arab, campaign, legacy and others
- The AHRF seeks to diversify its sources and makes a concerted effort to tap into sources of funding within the Arab region, including charitable and private sector donations, as well as internationally, from the Arab Diaspora and international donor organizations.
